Oldroyd 'Green' Range - Green Roof Drainage Membranes
The Oldroyd 'Green' range of drainage membranes have been specifically developed for green roof applications. Benefiting from Oldroyd's multi-layer technology, each of the membranes is formed of three layers:
- Layer 1 - virgin outer layer
- Layer 2 - inner core consisting of largely recycled material
- Layer 3 - virgin outer layer
Recycled Inner Core
Green roofs are only as green as the materials from which they are constructed. Oldroyd's multi-layer technology allows recycled material to be used in the inner core without the loss of performance normally associated with the use of recycled plastic in drainage membranes. The inner core consists of partly recycled plastic sandwiched between two outer layers of virgin material (see magnified cross section).
The membranes contain a minimum of 49% recycled plastic (see note below).
The Membranes
The Oldroyd 'Green' range consists of three cavity drainage membranes, each intended for different green roof types:
 |
Oldroyd Xv Green - Membrane with 6mm stud. For pitched green roofs / turf roofs. Benefits from rubberised outer layer to reduce slip risk on pitched roofs.
|
 |
Oldroyd Xv20 Green - Membrane with larger 20mm stud. For pitched green roofs with a shallow growing medium (e.g. sedum) |
 |
Oldroyd Xv20 GreenXtra - Perforated membrane with 20mm stud. For flat green roofs. Used in conjunction with Oldroyd Tp filter fleece. |

Contains 49% (min) Recycled Plastic
The Oldroyd green range of membranes contain a minimum of 49% recycled content as defined in section 7.8.1.1 of ISO 14021. Where quality and availability of recycled plastic allows, up to 70% recycled plastic may be used. By utilising Oldroyd's multi-layer technology this is achieved without any loss of product performance.
