Vandex Plug - Waterproof Plugging Mortar
Water leaks and seepage are common problems in water-retaining structures and when building below ground, Fortunately, Vandex Plug offers a simple solution:
Supplied as a powder, Vandex Plug is mixed with water to form a thick paste. Once mixed, the paste is pressed into the leaking crack or hole using a trowel. After approximately 30 seconds, the Vandex Plug will have set and the leak will be sealed. The surface can then be levelled off using a levelling trowel.
Vandex Plug can be used internally or externally as a waterproof plugging mortar or where rapid setting and early strength gain is required. Applications include:
- Plugging water leaks and seepage
- Sealing leaking cracks
- Sealing wet surfaces
- Plugging leaks in earthenware pipes
- Caulking tunnel segment joints
- Fixings in water structures where immediate use is required
- Installation of steel elements in concrete and masonry (e.g. rail stanchions)
- Erosion-resistant mortar for elements affected by rain
- Erosion-resistant shoring of canal sealing
- Underwater work (access permitting)
Vandex Plug can be used on concrete, masonry, earthenware and stone. It sets approximately 30 seconds after mixing at 20°C.
