Roxil Wood Protection Cream

Roxil Wood Protection Cream is a silicone cream emulsion used to protect outdoor timber with only a single coat application. It protects wood from the undesirable effects of moisture like warping, rot and moss / algae growth.

The unique colourless cream formula absorbs into wood and creates a waterproof barrier once applied with a brush or paint roller. It protects fences, decking, sheds, furniture and more from the elements without changing their appearance.

Mould and Algae Growth

Roxil Preserver protects against mould and algae growth

Exposure to wet weather conditions can make outdoor wood degrade and become dirty in a short space of time. This effect is accelerated in heavily shaded or rainy areas.

Mould and algae growth mainly occurs because the surface of the wood is damp. Repeated instances of mould & algae can permanently discolour wood.

Roxil Wood Protection Cream penetrates into the surface of timber [1] and creates a waterproof barrier. This water-repellent surface stops moisture ingress and significantly reduces mould and algae growth to keep wood cleaner for longer.

Retain Natural Appearance

Roxil Wood Protection Cream prevents the appearance of wood from degredation

Other wood treatments dramatically alter the wood’s surface. They introduce a colour stain or an unnatural texture.

Roxil Wood Protection Cream’s unique formula creates an invisible waterproof barrier with no change to the texture or appearance of treated wood.

Warping and Structural Instability

Roxil Wood Protection Cream protects against warping and provides structural stability

Wood expands when it absorbs moisture. Wooden structures are vulnerable to the forces created by this expansion and can become warped or broken.

The powerful Roxil Wood Protection Cream formula greatly reduces moisture ingress to minimise the expansion that causes wood to warp. This increased structural stability extends the life of timber [1].

Protecting Garden Furniture with Roxil

Wooden garden furniture, like benches, tables or awnings, can be especially susceptible to the effects of moisture. They are quite often required to bear weight and so maintaining their structural integrity is important.

Significant moisture ingress can lead to warping, cracking and even rot. Applying a coat of Roxil Wood Protection Cream to any garden furniture can significantly reduce moisture ingress to extend its working life.

Soft Washing for Longer Life

Roxil treated softwood resists ingrained dirt and biological growth making acidic cleaners unnecessary

Ingrained dirt due to moisture ingress makes timber difficult to clean. Acidic cleaners are commonly used to clean dirty or moss / algae stained wood. They work by stripping the top layer of wood. The initial results of these cleaners can be satisfactory, but they cause damage in the long term.

Roxil-treated timber [1] resists ingrained dirt and biological growth to make regular acidic cleaning a thing of the past. Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner is an effective and non-destructive way to return wood to its natural beauty if cleaning is required.

Roxil Wood Protection Cream Application

These instructions are an overview of the application process. Always read the technical datasheet for all products before application. The technical datasheet can be found in the downloads tab.

  1. Clean the surface to be treated, ensuring that it is clear of debris
Ensure that the surface to be treated is dry and clear of debris. We recommend cleaning surfaces affected by biological growth using Roxil Wood & Patio Cleaner and then protecting them with Roxil Wood Preserver before Roxil Wood Protection Cream. Prepare, preserve and protect.
  2. Apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream directly to the treatment area with a brush or roller
Apply Roxil Wood Protection Cream directly to the treatment area in an even and thin coat with a brush or roller.
  3. Leave the cream to absorb into the wood for at least 24 hours
Leave the cream to absorb into the wood for at least 24 hours until dry. This may take longer on cold winter days. See the technical datasheet for more information.
