SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide

SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide is a high-strength biocide for removing algae, fungi, mould and moss growth from a wide range of surfaces. It is supplied ready-for-use in a 5 litre pack.

Treat a wide range of surfaces: internal walls, roof tiles, concrete surfaces, brick, stone, render and plastic. SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide can be used to remove algae and moss from driveways, patios and ornamental stone monuments. SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide can be used before Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream to minimise regrowth. Clear existing biological growth from masonry surfaces and minimise future algae, moss, lichens and mould growth.

SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide is:

• Compatible with Stormdry (use prior to masonry protection cream application)
• Low VOC content (low odour, non-flammable)
• Non-staining (will not cause discolouration in treated surfaces)

Each 5 litre pack of SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide treats 10 m² – 100 m², depending upon the porosity of the substrate being treated. It can be applied with a brush, roller or by coarse spray. For best results use clean water and a pressure washer to clean the surface of dead growth after 72 hours.

How to apply SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide

1. 

   Remove any loose mortar, dust or other surface laitance using a masonry brush. SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide should be applied on exterior surfaces in dry weather — ideally when no rain is forecast for the next 24 hours.
2. 

   Apply SoluGuard Multi-Surface Biocide in accordance with the application instructions [1]. Apply 1 litre of product per 2–20 m² of surface. One 5 litre unit can cover between 10–100 m². The coverage will vary depending upon the overall porosity of the substrate to be treated.
3. 

   For best results, the treated surface should be cleaned after 72 hours using clean water. Where appropriate a pressure washer can be used. This will remove deposits of dead biological growth from the treated surface.
