Vandex Construction Joint Tape
Vandex Construction Joint Tape, in combination with Vandex BB75E elasticised waterproofing slurry forms and excellent and durable seal for construction joints and cracks.
Vandex Construction Joint Tape is a synthetic rubber strip, approximately 0.8mm thick. It is covered on both sides with an alkali-resistant and flexible polyester fabric mat, which forms a web on the edges. Vandex Construction Joint Tape is applied as follows:

- A bed of Vandex BB75E slurry is applied in a strip at least 20cm wide over the construction joint.
- Vandex Construction Joint Tape is rolled out over the BB75E slurry (as shown in the picture). The fabric edges of the Vandex Construction Joint Tape are then embedded into the BB75E.
- A second coat of BB75E is then applied over the Vandex Construction Joint Tape.
Benefits of using Vandex Construction Joint Tape include:
- Tested for joint openings up to 5mm
- Can be applied on a damp substrate
- Resistant to hydrostatic pressure.
- Permanently flexible
Movement / Expansion Joints
Where movement or expansion joints need to be covered, Vandex Flextape should be used.
