Vandex Unimortar 1 is applied in layers of 6 to 12mm thickness in one working cycle because of its granulometry. Once cured, it is substantially resistant to abrasion and de-icing salt, and it thus able to take strong mechanical wear. It is durable and resistant to frost whilst remaining vapour-permeable.
The waterproofing properties of Vandex Unimortar 1 have been tested up to 7 bar at a layer thickness of 10mm
In most cases, Vandex Unimortar 1 can provide a tanking solution in a single coat (rather than two coats using Vandex BB75). For this reason is is often specified on small jobs (e.g. lift pits) as it allows the waterproofing to be carried out in a single day. The application Vandex Unimortar 1 in a single coat can also provide time savings on large contracts where it is typically applied using spray equipment.
Repair Mortar
Vandex Unimortar 1 can be used as a repair mortar as an alternative Vandex CRS Repair Mortar 05 or HB in situations where a solution is required that is approved for use in contact with drinking water.
