Practical Installation
Practical “hands-on” training course on how to convert an existing basement to BS 8102. Includes the installation of Oldroyd cavity drainage membrane systems and Vandex cementitious waterproofing.
The course looks at the types of waterproofing system available, their advantages and disadvantages and how to choose the most suitable for a given situation. The correct methods for installing Oldroyd membranes and use of Vandex tanking materials will be taught using the purpose-built training wall. Options for finishing the basement conversion and consideration of ventilation and environmental controls is also discussed, along with how to comply to BS 8102:2009 and relevant building regulations.
