Water-retaining structures
The Drybase Tanking range of cementitious waterproofing products provides a number of options for the waterproofing of water-retaining structures. The choice of waterproofing system will depend on a number of factors, such as the type of water (e.g. potable water or effluent) to be retained and the construction type / material used to build the structure. Our technical department are able to provide information on the most appropriate waterproofing system for a given project. On larger projects, site visits can be arranged.
This website provides further information about waterproofing the following types of water-retaining structures:
- Swimming Pools
- Reservoirs / Water Treatment Works
- Sewers / Manholes
- Sewage Treatment Works
- Ponds and Water Features
- Planters
- Bund Walls
Even where structures have been built using expensive waterproof concrete to BS 8007:2008, consideration will still need to be given to the waterproofing of construction joints.
