Dry Walls are Warm Walls
Get ahead of the winter weather by using Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream to protect your property before the winter arrives. The breathable masonry waterproofing cream is simply applied to brick, stone or masonry walls in a single coat using a brush, roller or spray. Once cured, it will then protect the wall from rain penetration for at least 25 years without affecting the wall’s appearance.
Protecting your property from rain penetration is important, not only to stop easily visible problems (such as damp patches or spoiled decor) but also to help minimise heat-loss through weather-facing walls. A wall that is wet due to rain penetration will lose heat faster than a wall that is kept dry by Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream. Testing has shown, for example, that a standard fletton brick, when saturated, loses heat twice as fast as it does when dry.

Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream is the only colourless masonry waterproofing cream that has been both approved by the BBA and granted ‘Verified’ status by the Energy Saving Trust. It has also been named as an insulation protection measure in a recent government report, which stated that Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream was ‘by far the main product in the industry’ and mentioned that it was the only ‘brick-cream’ available that had any research to support its claims.
Due to its breathability, Stormdry Masonry Protection Cream is able to be applied to already damp walls. It will allow residual moisture within the wall to evaporate and exit the wall as water vapour whilst rain penetration is resisted. However, the application requires at least a 24 hour period without rain and temperatures above 5°C. As rainfall increases and the temperatures drop after October, application can become difficult.
