About the Role
Safeguard Europe is looking for a motivated and diligent Production & Dispatch Operative to work cross-functionally within our warehouse. The successful applicant should have a teamwork mindset and a get-go attitude. The right candidate should be able and willing to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products along with production, labelling and packaging of products in a timely manner. They should also comply with health and safety regulations, as well as having awareness and sound judgement about the surrounding work environment. Prior experience within a similar environment is highly desirable.
Working Pattern
4 days on, 4 days off on a rotation basis.
6am - 6pm each day with 1 hour lunch break.
Duties
Order processing
Picking and packing
Booking parcels onto carrier dispatch systems
Goods in and goods out
Vehicle loading and unloading
General housekeeping duties
Stock movement and rotation
Stock re-labelling
Manual handling
Produce batches of product for filling to specification
Fill batches to standard and maintain quality
Run and oversee filling, labelling and packing machinery
Produce batch sheets in accordance with set procedures
Skills and Experience
Previous warehouse / dispatch experience
Picking / packing experience
Forklift licence (not required but desirable)
Experience working with couriers (not required but desirable)
Manual handling
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand technical aspects and functions of building materials
Ability to relay technical information in a positive and supportive way
